Mina Du is professionally trained in both vocal performance and music education. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Music Performance from Tianjin Normal University and a Master of Education (Music) from the National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.

Mina 杜金瑶拥有天津师范大学音乐表演专业学士学位，以及新加坡南洋理工大学国立教育学院音乐教育硕士学位。

Her journey spans rigorous, systematic vocal training in China, nearly a hundred professional stage performances, and music teaching in government schools — through to music-education research in Singapore's multicultural setting and adult Mandopop vocal coaching. Throughout, she has stayed deeply curious about the voice, musical expression, and how to genuinely help students learn.

从中国专业系统的声乐训练、近百场专业舞台演出与政府学校音乐教学，到新加坡多元文化环境中的音乐教育研究与成人华语流行演唱教学，Mina 始终专注于声音、音乐表达，以及如何真正有效地帮助学生学习。

01A musical journey音乐旅程

A seed of music, taking root at 5音乐的种子，从5岁那年开始发芽。

Mina began formal arts training at the age of five — piano, dance, and voice. This multidisciplinary foundation shaped her ear, her sense of rhythm, her physical coordination, stage presence, and artistic sensitivity.

Mina 从五岁起接受系统的艺术训练，先后学习钢琴、舞蹈与声乐。多元的早期训练，帮助她建立了扎实的音准、节奏、身体协调、舞台表现与音乐审美基础。

From the age of twelve she focused on vocal performance — Chinese folk singing, bel canto, contemporary styles, music theory, and stagecraft. In 2015 she earned the third-highest music examination result in Shandong Province and entered Tianjin Normal University's Music Performance programme, specialising in Chinese folk and bel canto.

十二岁以后，她将学习重心正式转向声乐演唱，逐步接触民族唱法、美声唱法、流行演唱、音乐理论与舞台表演。2015 年，Mina 以山东省音乐类综合成绩第三名考入天津师范大学音乐表演专业，主修声乐演唱，专业方向为民族与美声融合。

Her undergraduate studies spanned vocal performance, music theory, ear training, opera, stagecraft, movement, choral conducting, educational psychology, and music teaching methodology.

本科期间，她系统学习声乐演唱、乐理、视唱练耳、歌剧表演、舞台表演、形体训练、合唱指挥、教育心理学与音乐教学法，逐渐建立起兼具演唱、表演与教育能力的专业基础。

02On stage舞台与表演经历

Through her training Mina performed widely — vocal competitions, opera productions, concerts, and large-scale stage shows — and twice won a Gold Award in the vocal category of the Tianjin University Student Arts Showcase.

专业学习期间，Mina 多次参与声乐比赛、歌剧排演、专业音乐会与大型舞台演出，并曾两次获得天津市大学生文艺展演声乐组金奖。

She was a member of the Tianjin Grand Theatre Chorus and performed in its production of A River Flows East, and sang alongside renowned Chinese singer Yu Shuzhen at a concert marking the twentieth anniversary of Hong Kong's return to China. Before graduating, she presented her own recital of Chinese art songs and operatic selections.

她曾担任天津大剧院合唱团成员，参演天津大剧院歌剧《一江春水》，并曾在庆祝香港回归二十周年音乐会中与著名歌唱家于淑珍同台演唱。本科毕业前，Mina 成功举办个人毕业音乐会，演唱中国艺术歌曲及外国歌剧选段。

03From stage to classroom从舞台走进课堂

Turning expertise into language students can understand把专业，讲成学生听得懂的语言

Mina began teaching voice to adults and children during her undergraduate years. On graduating in 2019, she earned the Senior High School Music Teacher Qualification Certificate from the Tianjin Municipal Education Commission, and joined a Chinese government school as a music teacher — teaching music and voice, directing choirs, guiding arts groups, and preparing students for performances and competitions.

Mina 在本科期间便开始教授成人以及儿童声乐。2019 年本科毕业，她获得天津市教育委员会颁发的高级中学音乐教师资格认证，并进入中国政府学校担任音乐教师，负责音乐课程、声乐教学、合唱训练、艺术社团与学生比赛指导。

Drawing on her strengths in lesson design, classroom management, and clear, expressive delivery, Mina won multiple first prizes in music-teacher skills and teaching competitions.

凭借在教学设计、课堂组织与专业表达方面的能力，Mina 曾获得多项音乐教师基本功及讲课比赛一等奖。

04From China to Singapore从中国到新加坡

Seeking deeper, more diverse approaches to music education, Mina moved to Singapore to pursue postgraduate study at the National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University.

为了深入学习更加先进、多元的音乐教育理念，并与音乐教育领域的专家和教育者交流，Mina 来到新加坡南洋理工大学国立教育学院继续深造。

There she explored music education philosophy, curriculum design, musical behaviour, popular culture, technology, and arts education — deepening her understanding of how professional musical knowledge becomes meaningful, effective teaching.

硕士学习期间，她系统研究音乐教育理念、课程设计、音乐行为、流行文化、科技应用与艺术教育，进一步思考如何将专业音乐知识转化为更有效、更贴近学生需要的教学。

Mina formally received her Master of Education (Music) in June 2025, and now focuses on Mandopop vocal coaching in Singapore. Mina 于 2025 年 6 月正式取得音乐教育硕士学位，并在新加坡专注华语流行演唱教学。

Today she combines her vocal-performance and classroom experience from China with contemporary music-education perspectives from Singapore, specialising in Mandopop vocal coaching for adults.

如今，Mina 将中国积累的声乐表演与一线教学经验，同新加坡的音乐教育理念及文化环境相结合，专注于成人华语流行演唱教学。
